THE MAGICAL SHOES

fairy tale, the fortunate princess

Many of us probably heard of such shoes that possess magical powers. You can go anywhere wearing the shoes. Honey and Sweet, the two sisters, had also a pair of such shoes to each. The shoes were given by an angel by whose favor the two little sisters were born. They lived in a small village beautifully surrounded by lush green trees, such as mango, banana, jack fruit, banyan, blackberry and so on. A murmuring river went flowing by with her crystal clear ripples. Colorful fishes would play in the streaming water knowing no bounds of joy. Their eyes and skin would reflect against bright, incandescent rays of the morning sun. There resides a peaceful ambiance in the village. . .

Honey and Sweet had hardly any demand. They were very happy with their parents. Indeed their days were shinning like a pearl. By means of the magical shoes the two sisters would go to their favorite places and could savor the taste of their journey. If any villagers would ask for the shoes for themselves Honey and Sweet would instantly place them into their hands. They were indeed magical shoes ! Wear and just wish your destination !

One fine morning, to the surprise of the two lucky sisters, the pairs of shoes vanished from their home. They searched pillar to post in and around their home but in vain. Disappointed and frustrated, the duo started quarreling among themselves. They became very aggressive and were condemning each other bitterly. Suddenly the angle appeared there and asked why they had been quarreling.
The sisters revealed everything to the angel. Using her magical powers the angel  found out the shoes and informed that the shoes were stolen somehow  by a king who lived 1 km off the village. Yesterday he sent his knights and he made off with the shoes. She added, "If you are to get your shoes back you must visit the king's palace." But the two girls were so little that as soon as they heard it they went shrunk on. Patches of fear appeared on their ever-energetic faces. But the angle assured them to bring them to the kingdom.

It was a huge palace shinning gloriously under the blue firmament, with two huge orchard in front, a luxurious fountain place in between them, rows of knights holding swords from the entrance to the court and some marble structures welcoming the visitors at the gate. Afraid and perplexed, the two girls were walking towards the court with short legs. They were followed by the angel, but invisible into the air.

On reaching the court, they saw the king and other courtiers were busy in consulting among themselves. "Most probably the magical shoes are at the center of their talking", one girl whispered to the other.
As soon as the two girls were about to enter the kingly court the guards blocked their way and asked what they wanted. Drive by pleading, the duo asked the guard to enter the court so that they could meet the king. Meanwhile, chaos struck into the king's ears. The king asked why they came here. However, the two sisters' eyes became moist with tears before they could speak anything. Realizing the poor girls' plight, the king softly talked to them and wanted to know if they need anything here. The girls said that their favorite shoes had been stolen  yesterday and now it was to his daughter. So they came to get their shoes.

The king gave a mild smile and said "Yes, the shoes are now to my daughter's as she wished it to wear." The king added, "Since childhood I made up her every wish. I can't bear seeing my daughter sad. You would better go back. I'll make an alternative for you."

Hearing the king Honey and Sweet thought for a moment and then told him that they could be agreed but if he allowed her daughter to come to our village and have fun with us. With a smile on face, the king agreed in no time. All the courtiers and other people present in the court cheered up in delight ! Honey and Sweet returned to their village.
From next day, the king used to send her daughter along with a guard to the village. They used to play and have fun to their hearts' content. Normalcy limped back to the village. Moreover the king, too, would visit that spectacular village and spend quality time with the villagers:)
