1. Changing Password :

The very first trick that you should know about how to change the password of your computer or laptop system.You are thinking of going to Control Panel, click on user accounts and set the desired password, right? Well, if yes, then I will say it would be a long process and in this case you have to provide your current system password to set a new one. But what if the same can be done via Command Prompt without providing any current password? Let's see how.
  • Search for Command Prompt clicking on Start button
  • Right click on it and select Run as Administrator
  • Next type net user and press Enter
  • Type net user<space>user name of your system<space>your desired password
  • Press Enter. The command will be successfully accepted.
In this way, you can easily set your system's new password without remembering the current one.

2. Opening Task Manager :

The second trick is to how to open Task Manager by means of a keyboard. What many users do is just they hit on the Start button and search for Task Manager. But here is an easy and handy method by which you can effortlessly open the Task Manager. 

  • Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc together
  • Task Manager will open 

3. Blocking Websites :

If you want to block any website that you do not want to access you can easily do that.
  • Open Run window
  • Type %windir%\system32\drives\etc and press Enter
  • Right click on hosts and open with Notepad
  • Type the IP address as shown there, and at last type the number which is next to the last number of your IP address. 
For example, if your IP address is 127.0.0.1, you will have to type it as 127.0.0.2
  • Now give a space and type the website name you want to block
For example, is you want to block facebook, type 127.0.0.2 facebook.com
  • Next type 127.0.0.3 www.facebook.com
  • Finally, save it


After that, if you try to open facebook on your browser it won't open. That means you have blocked Facebook from your IP address.
Now to unblock the site remove all that you have written on the notepad and save it.

4. Knowing The Wi-Fi Password :

If you use your computer system and are connected with a wireless network then it is very important for you to know the wifi password. Even if you connected to another network and do not know the password you can easily get it. This is a tricky way and every PC or laptop user must know.

  • Open Command Prompt
  • Type netsh<space>wlan<space>show<space>profile<space>wifi name<space>key=clear
  • Hit Enter
Now notice key content in the security setting category. You will find the password of the wifi you are connected to. Cool, right?


5. Knowing IP Address, DNA Server Address Etc :

This is another important trick to know everything about the network you are connected to from IP address to DNA server address and so on. It may come in use any time so keep yourself aware of it pretty well.

  • Type ipconfig/all 
  • Press Enter
You will get every information about your network. 


6. Encrypting File :

It is one of the most important tricks that every computer user or worker should keep in mind. The trick helps to secure any personal information or data from being stolen. 

  • Right click on the file or folder you want to encrypt
  • Go to properties
  • Click on Advanced
  • Tick Encrypt contents to secure data

7. Hiding Any File or Folder :

  • Next check Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files

  • Check show hidden files, folders and drivers
  • Press OK

8. Accessing Blocked Websites :

Refused to get access to a website? Don't bother about it. There is another wonderful trick lies before you by which you can easily access the websites blocked.
  • Open ProxySite.com on your browser
  • Choose any server
  • Type the website you want to access
  • Press Enter
  • Enjoy your surfing

9. Hiding Driver of Hard Disk :

Here comes another most important trick if you want to hide any drive of your hard disk. Yes, if you do not want other users to show your system's any drive you can simply hide it following this method.
  • Open Run window
  • Type gpedit.msc to open Local Group Policy Editor
  • Expand Administrative Templates
  • Next, expand Windows Component and click on File Explorer
  • Next, from right side list search for Hide these specified drivers in My Computer and double click on it
  • Click on the Enabled button and from  Restrict all drivers choose the driver you want to hide
  • Click on Apply and then OK
  • Refresh the page of My Computer. You will see the driver you selected to hide is no more there
In this way, you can easily hide any drive from My Computer, and secure all the data you do not want to showcase others.

Now to restore the drive you will have to apply the same method, just click on Disabled button from where you turned it enable and then hit OK. The drive will appear again. 

10. Turn The Chrome To A Notepad :

Here comes the last and final trick you should remember provided you are a chrome user. This trick helps turn the chrome browser to a notepad on which you can simply go on typing. Yes, you heard the right and I suppose you have never heard this trick before, right? I, too, was not aware of this trick. When I came across to it I was really surprised.   • Open your Chrome Browser
  • Type data:text/html, <html contenteditable>
  • Press Enter
  • Enjoy typing
