Today in this article we are going to discuss a number of facts in respect of the Internet which I guess you hardy know.
WHAT IS INTERNET?
Well, the word "Internet" stands for "Interconnected Network"; it is a network that is consisted of millions of big and small networks across the world. It's the biggest worldwide communication network of computers. It has millions of domestic, academic, business and government networks which together carry many different types of information. 'WWW' that is the World Wide Web is used by a few billion people all over the world.
Now let's have a glance at some striking information about the net that you might get bored while searching over the net and opening different links. Here are some integrated information below :

(1) Approximately 3.2 billion people use the Internet all over the world out of which 1.7 billion of them are Asians. In fact, it is estimated that approximately 200 billion emails and 3 billion Google search get hampered if the Internet goes down for a day.
(2) It's amazing that China has treatment camps for internet addicts. 200 million internet users in China are between the ages of 15 to 35. Hence, it is likely that they lose self-control. According to sources, 40% of those addicted to the Internet suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
(3) Strangely, about 30,000 websites are hacked every day by the cybercriminals who use a highly effective computer system to automatically detect the vulnerable websites that can be hacked.
(4) Internet sends approximately 204 million emails per minute and 70% of them are spam. 2 billion electrons are required to produce a single email.
(5) The Internet requires 50 million horsepower to keep running in the current state.
In 2005, the Broadband Internet had a maximum of 2 Mbps speed. Today it has reached above 100 Mbps.

The Deep Web is for storing personal information of institutions like offices, academics, medicals and so on and is accessible only to limited people. And the Dark Web is all about crime and illegal activities such as you can hire hit-man to kill someone, watch live torching in Red Rooms, raping, child sexual assaults, selling drugs and so on. This site is out of the government's reach and so these activities are havoc.
(17) In 2010, Finland became the first country to make Internet access a legal right.
(18) As of the first quarter of 2018, Facebook had 2.9 billion monthly active users. In the third quarter of 2012, the number of active Facebook users had surpassed one billion, making it the first social network to do so.
(19) Do you know according to Google, the production of the electricity needed for a single Internet search generates 200 milligrams of CO2. Worse, Internet traffic is growing at around 50% each year.
